Our carrageenan, extracted from red seaweed (Rhodopyceae class), is widely used in the food industry. It works as a thickener, gelling agent, stabilizer, and suspending agent in both water and dairy systems. It can create many types of gels—soft or firm, clear or cloudy, heat-stable or meltable—at room temperature. Beyond food, it’s also useful in other industries as an emulsifier, stabilizer, and moisture retainer.
